There are two engine options available for the 2025 Toyota 4Runner. With a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine, there is a power output of 278 horsepower and a torque output of 317 lb-ft.
A turbocharged 2.4-liter engine, a 48-horsepower electric motor, and a battery pack with 1.87 kWh of power combine to produce a powerful 4Runner i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain. This setup produces 465 lb-ft of torque and 326 horsepower. Platinum, TRD Pro, and Trailhunter models come with this hybrid engine as standard. Meanwhile, TRD Off-Road and Limited models have it as an option.
Toyota's i-FORCE technology powers both engines and an eight-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is rear-wheel drive by default but is also available in full-time four-wheel drive. Added off-road enhancements may include off-road cruise control, removable stabilizer bars, and locking rear differentials.
